Briefing

Under the mantra “It’s more than a job, it’s a journey,” Booking.com clearly shows that work and your career are intrinsically linked to life itself. It’s a rollercoaster ride that can take you in many directions before you find the place where you truly thrive. Fortunately, at Booking.com, you have all the space to discover who you are and what you want.

To communicate this and simultaneously strengthen the employer brand, give an impression of the Booking.com culture, and highlight the diverse opportunities for both young talent and experienced professionals, Booking.com asked us to create an employer brand campaign with video content as its beating heart.

Approach

The Journey, or rather the rollercoaster ride, within the mantra “It’s more than a job, it’s a journey” is different for everyone. What remains the same for all is the opportunities and possibilities you get at Booking.com. Regardless of which Booking.com office you walk into, what your job title is on LinkedIn, the colleagues you work with, or the atmosphere in the office, everyone works towards the same mission: making it easier for everyone to experience the world. This was our starting point for all the videos we created.

In total, we developed an overarching employer brand campaign consisting of 22 videos and a series of photos. This included three videos targeting Tech Talent, Commercial & Corporate, and Women in Tech & Leadership, ten videos showcasing various crafts—from engineering and UX design to marketing and legal—five videos focusing on themes like Impact, Inclusion, and Work-Life Balance, and four videos highlighting different cities (New York, Amsterdam, Manchester, and Singapore) and their respective offices.

For the look and feel, we carefully analyzed existing videos to capture the unique rhythm of each location in both visuals and sound. Alongside this, we made sure to include a wide variety of Booking.com colleagues, offering a diverse and comprehensive portrayal of the organization.
