The Municipality of Hoeksche Waard had a clear recruitment need. They required a new influx of talent to help shape the future of the municipality with their expertise, skills, and experience. Under the theme “You Make It Real,” a translation of the manifesto into video content was created, including one employer brand hero video and several testimonials to provide insight into specific roles.

Approach

For the development of the video content, we focused on the personal and professional growth of the municipality. To guide our approach, we used three core values: personal, craftsmanship, and courage. With these values, you make it real, but to truly make something real, you need to be given the opportunity. You must have both the possibilities and the space to act, and feel that it is possible. We used the concept of “space” as a central theme, because there is no place where you have as much room to grow as at the Municipality of Hoeksche Waard. In the video content, we play with both the literal and figurative space you, as a potential candidate, are given. The concept of space became the thread that ran through all of our content. People give space to each other and create it for themselves by seizing opportunities and identifying new possibilities.
